i can tell you that ive successfully paired a plantronics voyager 510 with my hp elitebook 8440 and was successfully able to use the avaya 2050 ip softphone (release 4.0). unfortunately, i wasnt able to remotely answer the call via the button on the voyager 510, i had to answer calls at the laptop first but i didnt do much testing it was just a quick proof of concept for a co-worker.
i have an old microsoft v6 phone system and am looking to move to the avaya product. i have installed the 2.0.12 drivers. the system has worked great for the past few years. i have been told i need to upgrade the drivers. when i go to get the driver files from microsoft, they are not there. does anyone know where i can get them or what they are called? i don't have the phone system attached yet so i can't get it to beep and give me the codes. i was hoping to avoid having to pull the phone system out of the wall. thanks in advance for your help.
